Congratulations to all of our award recipients who received religious awards at our Scout Awards Ceremony on Sunday, February 17, 2008. Please see the list of awards recipients on the left sidebar.

The Diocese of Paterson is a committee affiliated with the Paterson Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting serving Northern New Jersey Council and the Patriots Path Council of the Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts. The Committee is dedicated to promoting “Duty to God” at each level of Scouting. We are affiliated with the National Catholic Committee on Scouting^® (NCCS), an advisory to the Boy Scouts of America, National Catholic Committee on Girl Scouts and Camp Fire, and Region 3 of the NCCS.

Each year the Diocese of Paterson Catholic Committee on Scouting holds several events to promote Catholic Scouting. These events include a Boy Scout Religious Encounter, Scouter Development, Religious Emblems Counselor Training, a Youth Religious Emblem Recognition Ceremony, Adult Religious Awards Ceremony and our Annual Catholic Retreat. We are able to accomplish these events, because of the many dedicated leaders that donate their time and energy to providing a quality program.

In Memoriam

Our hearts and prayers go out to the Barney Kabis Family. Barney Kabis was a longtime member of the Catholic Committee on Scouting for the Diocese of Paterson. He will be missed by all who knew him as a Scouter and Friend.
